Bali Hai | Shelter Island | Michelle and Drew’s Wedding Photography

Beautiful San Diego weather graced Michelle and Drew’s wedding at the tropical Bali Hai on Shelter Island.  Plenty of smiles were to be had during the sweet ceremony and after some great poses and a relaxing cocktail hour, the reception was highlighted by enthusiastic dancing.  We had a great time at this wedding!

Facilities and Capacity

Bali Hai Restaurant has three refreshing private event rooms reminiscent of islands in the South Pacific. Each can be transformed for casual or formal celebrations. The Tiki Room blends contemporary elegance with a beachy vibe, and is ideal for small weddings or parties of up to 32 guests. Alternately, the South Pacific Room can host grand events of up to 200 attendees. With a private bar and permanent dance floor, it has all the essentials for a lively party. The Hawaiian Village is a tremendous outdoor space reminiscent of luaus and white sand beaches. Depending on your setup, the pavilion can accommodate weddings of 200 guests. It is fully customizable, so events here can reflect the beautiful San Diego area or transport guests to the Hawaiian islands.

Services Offered

This venue offers all-inclusive packages for weddings held here. The expert staff have planned a wide array of events and have a wealth of knowledge. In addition to the delightful catering menus and extensive bar packages, the restaurant has an assortment of items available for event rentals. Reception essentials including glassware, flatware, china, and linens can all be provided by the venue. All packages cover event setup and cleanup in order to make weddings as stress-free as possible.

Cuisine

Bali Hai serves delectable South Pacific dishes, with an emphasis on Hawaiian cuisine. Executive Chef Dion effortlessly blends Polynesian and Californian flavors to create the restaurant’s signature dishes. Wedding menus are fully customized to the couple’s tastes with pre-wedding tastings. Choose from plated service or go all out Hawaiian with a private luau buffet. They also have options for brunch and cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres. The serving staff will even cut and serve the wedding cake with all event rentals of the facility. In addition, there are several bar packages available, each with a selection of beer, wine, and liquor with a complimentary champagne toast and signature drink.
