The Prado at Balboa Park is a National Landmark. Originally built in 1915, the House of Hospitality Building was part of the Panama-California Exposition, a 2-year exhibition in Balboa Park celebrating the opening of the Panama Canal. The building’s architecture, artwork and fountains showcase Spanish, Moorish and Mexican design elements, including hand-painted, wooden stencil designs on doors, ceilings and beams.
